Self Esteem

The way we view ourselves is the lens in which we view our life, the world and others around us. Low self esteem is increasingly common in youth and women, however, can impact everyone!

What is it?

Self esteem is our value of self. How we view ourselves, what beliefs we hold about self, our worth, our abilities. We learn these opinions and beliefs at a young age, and oftentimes feel that they are impossible to change. Self esteem and a healthy perception of self can have significant impacts on our happiness and wellbeing. 

How Can Therapy Help?

Therapy offers space to build self awareness and curiosity around your perceptions of self and self worth. Maybe you aren’t sure what these beliefs are or how they influence you day to day. Therapy can help you get to know your own “self critic” and to change the relationship you have with it.  

I will help you explore where beliefs come from, how they are perpetuated, and cultivating a more compassionate relationship to self. I work with motivated and insightful adults that want to better understand how their past influences their present.
